 Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Andrea Lafert has built her music career from childhood in her native city of Cordoba, Argentina.  Of French, Russian, Italian and Spanish descent, Andrea began to study classical and folk Guitar at the age of six and at the age of nine she won a local competition for children with musical talents and that event  lead her to become a part of the cast of a popular weekly children’s radio show. She became an overnight sensation and turned her into a local youth star; Through her teens, the multifaceted artist continued her musical career performing on Radios, TV shows, concert venues and theaters where she also recited poems. Before moving to the states, the singer and actor performed with great acclaim at the prestigious Luna Park stadium in the city of Buenos Aires, where the young artist sang before an audience of 30,000 people.

After completing two years in law school and with the consent of her parents, Andrea Lafert decided to emigrate to the US. Shortly after her arrival to Los Angeles, Andrea got cast in a musical play which was performed at the Ricardo Montalbán’s theater in Hollywood as well as on TV.

With her debut album “Novena Conciencia” which was fully written and composed by her, the Argentine artist, naturalized American, won several awards. Her latest hits and original compositions ”Quisiera’, “Lo Que Importa Es Tu corazon” and “Make it Happen” received various awards including three excellence awards in composition at different festivals and competitions in the US as in England respectively. In 2015 Andrea Lafert went to South America to promote her album. The artist played at several festivals and concerts venues in her native country of Argentina along with various popular Argentine musical artists.

As an active member of SAG-AFTRA and BMI, the recording artist has appeared in various commercials, movies, and TV shows. With her debut album “Novena Conciencia” which was fully written and composed by her, the Argentine artist, naturalized American, won several awards. Andrea is currently working with other artists in collaboration for upcoming albums; She has created her own radio show “Una Ventana A Hollywood” which is weekly aired on a popular Radio in Spain; She is promoting her latest material, working on a new role for an upcoming film and getting ready to tour through Mexico and to perform in Italy and Spain.

As a young immigrant who did not speak the English language, Andrea Lafert’s new journey was not an easy one, although she was excited and ready to experience a new world and eager to learn from the diversity of cultures residing in Los Angeles. She is self taught in english. Shortly after her arrival, she landed a central role singing and acting to great acclaim as the Virgin Mary in a Christmas play at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood; Over the first years living in the US Andrea Lafert has worked full time as a Singer/Musician, fashion model, Sag/Aftra Actor-Voice Over and become a Spanish language teacher and translator. She has been featured on several American TV and Film productions. She worked as a fashion model with the two most important Latin Television networks, Telemundo and Univision ; She was featured Model on the special “Prelude to the Oscars” as in the popular Univision show, “Sabado Gigante,” where the artist become a part of the comedy cast when the TV production moved to Los Angeles to perform live at the Palladium theater in Hollywood before an audience of 10.000 people each night. Andrea Lafert was recognized and awarded by the legendary New York publication “Who’s Who in America” for her outstanding achievements and contributions as a Latin American artist to the U.S. Latino Community. Andrea Lafert debut album “Novena Conciencia” which she also produced, has earned her several awards including two Excellence Awards for her original songs,”Quisiera” and “Lo Que Importa Es Tu Corazón”  at the International Music Competition in Las Vegas and third award in London for her original hit “Make It Happen.”

In 2014 Andrea Lafert won Singer of the Year Fox Music USA 2014 Award at the ceremony held in Houston, Texas where she also performed. In the same year the  Singer-Songwriter went out to her native country of Argentina as to other South American countries for promotion purposes. The Artist  performed at various multitudinous music festivals in her native country as she continued her radio and TV promotion. Back in the States and since the release of her debut album, Andrea Lafert has successfully performed all over Los Angeles at various theaters and pubs including the legendary “The House of Blues” of Hollywood, where she regularly performed with her band. In 2020 she has commercially released several singles and is currently working in the studio composing and recording new material to be released soon.
